In this project, we are teaching Artificial Intelligence (AI) literacy skills to children in the Santa Ana area. We are partnering with the Delhi Center to run workshops for teenagers and provide an AI literacy course as part of a larger 2022 summer camp for students from ages 6-12. As AI is becoming more and more ubiquitous and impactful in daily life, it is also becoming more important that children and adults have the necessary knowledge and skills to critically analyze how AI affects people. We plan on developing three items for this summer camp to teach AI literacy:

1. A curriculum for the different summer camp age groups to learn about AI in a fun, engaging way
2. ​CodeAI Lab, a computer-based tool that will allow students to code their own AI systems in a simple, easy-to-learn manner
3. An assessment tool to help measure outcomes from this program and other educational AI literacy programs
